Roads

The main cause of roads settling is given by the contamination of the foundation materials with the base material. Such a situation will inevitably bring about a loss in resistance. With time the traffic load can indeed push the base material into the fine foundation materials which in turn can migrate upwards. This reduces the aggregate thickness, destroys the support to the road and reduces the construction load-carrying capacity.
