PROTECTION & DRAINAGE

The hydraulic properties of Ecotess geotextiles are designed to drain excess water off the construction - not by passing through the Ecotess geotextile as when used for filtration, but by flowing in the plane of the geotextile leading it away from the construction.

The excellent static puncture resistance of Ecotess geotextiles makes them ideal for protecting waterproof membranes and other sealing materials from puncture when fill material and/or loads are being applied. When placed between sealing material and other layers, the Ecotess geotextiles withstand and distribute any local pressure from the layer above, ensuring that the protected material is not stressed to failure.

PONDS & SMALL LAKES

During pond construction, it is important to put Ecotess geotextiles at the bottom of the garden pond - below the membrane. In this way, is ensured that stones and other sharp objects do not puncture the membrane and ruin the garden pond.
