Needlepunch production technology

This dry-laid technology is based on a two-step process.
First, polypropylene resin is extruded into fibres. Secondly, these fibres are carded and needlepunched and then bonded thermally to form nonwovens.
Weights range from 60 g/m² to 2000 g/m².

Versatility and flexibility

Every year in Tessilbrenta production plant located in Italy, over 10.000 tons of nonwoven are manufactured, in all sizes, fibers mixture and colours, for a wide variety of end-uses and applications. Unsurpassed production capacity has been made this possible by the on-going investments made by Tessilbrenta in the most up-to-date plant and process technology. It presently consists of 6 lines.
An automated system allows Tessilbrenta to manage production without any interruption to the process- from the loading of the fibers into the punched machine, through to the shipping of the finished product. Tessilbrenta systems are very versatile with the ability to produce a diversified range of nonwoven of different types and sizes.
